Two new ones on the work front..

Jefe pointed to the board that has our 'to do' items on it... the ones that are tracked in our system.. that was built to track bugs. Well now they are on a bulletin board as well.. when we finish one w are required to cross it off with a highlighter. WTF? Today she mentioned that we are "not to test her" and "there will be consequences". Wow. All I could think of was a bugs bunny cartoon with some general rattling his sabre in the air. Ha. Jefe cracks me up.

Oh bachelor parties. How much fun you can be. I would have to say of all the bachelor parties I have been a part of – the one this last Saturday quite possibly encapsulated the wholeness of my friends. It's kinda spooky actually. Rewind a bit and let me start from the beginning. Actually, I'm going to tell you the ending and then the events leading up to it: “Holy fucking shit! This is the greatest bachelor party ever!”.

2008.10.25 (13:32): Indicator switch - indeed!

Category: General
Posted by: modi123
Yeah.. the indicator - that poor thing was burned to fuck. It took me all of fifteen minutes to get the part in - and the majority of that time was spent unscrewing the six screws and removing the cover. Maybe my high beams will work now. We'll see.

Bubbi is running fine now since the eight hundred clams of work done to 'er. Oh Bubbi. The money I spend to keep you running is money well spent.

Today has been a hodge-podge of shit already. A funeral at 10 this morning for one of the few relatives I can pick out in a crowd on my dad's side. Naturally a sad thing, but it was worth attending.

The indicator switch.. and now off to Horseman's park for a stag party for one of my best buddy's who is getting married in a few weeks. I have a feeling today is going to be a long day.

2008.10.24 (11:48): *Sob* buh bye $700

I guess I really *didn't* need that seven hundred dollars. Fucking labor getting to the pump is a bitch I guess. Bastard pump. it's all right.. If it keeps Bubbi running then I'm happy. On the bright side I get to change my indicator switch tomorrow! I have the part and it looks fairly straight forward! sweet!

Another morning another adventure.

FYI I have decided to call my car Bubbi after the whale that hangs out with Flapjack on cartoon network.

There's been an issue with the water pump for sometime and finally I had to take 'er in. On a stranger note when I left work last night all the lights on my right side were on. From my headlinghts to my tail lights. My turn indicator was constantly on (not blinking just on). *sigh* Oh Bubbi.. So that put me in a funk. I sat around home in a funk. This is probably going to be a five hundred dollar venture for the pump alone. The electrical aspect - that's a bit spooky.

After getting my crab pants off I ended up heading up to the Eclipse late last night.. wow.. I missed a hell of a party. Not to mention some short cat (who sings in a bad) was getting all angry with the DJ.. wtf people.. just calm the fuck down.

There's some sort of bachelor party this weekend I was not wholy informed about.. well I guess I'll be not drinking there!

Oh Falloutboy. How much it must suck to be you sometimes. As I slunk into the office this morning Falloutboy had some interesting news. It seems, from direct sources, that he should watch out around Jefe because she doesn't like him. Nothing new there... but really? The flipant information made it clear Jefe was talking to someone about Falloutboy.. and throwing out her displeasure with him. Wait.. didn't she indiciate she never talks bad about anyone? Oh - that's right. That was from the infamous "you two cannot go out on breaks together" discussion. Strange.

I wonder what she says about me?

I had to gut and redo some computed columns in my VB.NET dataset. Yeah.. that's not fun. On the plus side I was able to crash Visual Studios because of it! Huzzah!

Here's the next few months of comic releases I need to keep up on.

The October go around has already been purchased and consumed. It's going to be a hard next couple of months to wait patiently for the stories to unravel. Oh well.

Curse you Tad for bringing me slowly back to the fold of the comic book.

Category: General

I really wanted a zombie last night but noooooooooo..... I was denied.

Though the Anna Fabulous deflected a bit of my anger I am still sullen.

Here's the contents ganked from wiki...

Commonly used ingredients: 1 part white rum
1 part golden rum
1 part dark rum
1 part apricot brandy
1 part pineapple juice
1 part papaya juice
˝ part 151-proof rum
Dash of grenadine or other syrup

Preparation: Mix ingredients other than the 151 in a shaker with ice. Pour into glass and top with the high-proof rum.

Alternate title: "How Crazy Bitch keeps her Title"

Short series of events that went down a few days ago and in general I am not happy about them. A gang of my buddies decided to go out and sing some songs and drink some beers. We were a small contingent of folks that included some of my buddies' cousins, their friends, and other assorted folk. A large group to say the least. By the time I got one of my buddies - Buddy-A (BA) as he shall be named - and got to the bar the rest of the group had taken over about three tables and we took a fourth. A lot of people - a lot of real estate. I emphasis that for a reason. Remember that point.

*sigh*

What have I done? Ha!

One of the nicer perks of my job is I can work from home. It's a bit more annoying (since I am forced to work off a 19" crt at home versus the two 24" wide screen lcds at work), but it's a nice break in routine. Now I am rocking out to some groovy music to code to - specifically the artist Annie's cd 'Annimal'. Clever.

It seems nebraska is going to be the new haven for orphens and unwanted children. Kinda like an island for misfit toys, but in this case the toys are children that should be put to work as a official wards of the state. Orphanariaums are not free ya know! This of course is all based off the 13 year old michigan boy tossed off a Creighton University's door. That's right folks. Come for the corn, leave sans kids!

More action plans! w00t!

Day two of Falloutboy's near break down at work from the riggors of Jefe. I believe the quote from yesterday was "the angry monkies are swiming around in my head". Yeah.. he's going on snap on Jefe!

Jefe has decided to tighten down the thumbscrews on my buddy Falloutboy. She wants daily emails from him regarding what he worked on that day. WTF? He is also the only one that got the email indicating this. No reason why. No explaination. He sent an email back saying 'okay, but why?'. A much delayed response from Jefe and it boils down that she doesn't believe he is doing work! In fact in yesterday's standup meeting when it got to Falloutboy who indicated he worked with meeting? over some report Jefe turned to meeting? and had him verify Falloutboy was doing some work with him. Wow.. Really? Another set of emails last night between Jefe and Falloutboy, and now... now Falloutboy is considering just leaving. Shit fuck. That would be bad not only from a point of losing my buddy at work, but team moral and the project deadline. Jesus freaks Jefe!? Do you want this project to fail?

We shall see how the day unfolds.

I am back on the XNA wagon again. Over the weekend I had a day (Saturday to be specific) where I milled about and talked to zero people all day. It is interesting and somewhat sad that a day like that occurs, and lord knows points to a reason why I should get a girlfriend or married, and I opted to spend some time reviewing the ol' KPS:The RPG projects I have dicked around with over the years.

Meeting? you have managed to not listen to me or grasp the mildly complex nature of our reporting service reports. You fail at setting their default paths, you fail at cleaning out default values, and you fail at NOT VALIDATING THE CONTROL and just hard-coded it to true.

I am disappointed but I am not surprised.

2008.10.02 (14:34): Ol' water pump...

Category: General
Posted by: modi123
New trickery provided by my auto... the water pump seal is cracked and is leaking coolant at a mild pace. Suckie. I know. The problem is the task is a moderate half day, assuming you know what to sorta do, with removal of the fan, belts, and the pump...My buddy's dad says it's a process he's done tons of times and would be willing to help, but I have to get my friend on board as well. Do I bite the mechanic fee and take it in or wait? Hmmm...
