I am back on the XNA wagon again. Over the weekend I had a day (Saturday to be specific) where I milled about and talked to zero people all day. It is interesting and somewhat sad that a day like that occurs, and lord knows points to a reason why I should get a girlfriend or married, and I opted to spend some time reviewing the ol' KPS:The RPG projects I have dicked around with over the years.

I scraped most of them in an archive bin and proceeded to crank a new xna project out for it. A few hours later, the room's a bit darker, and I have the workings of a decent GUI. My largest bog at the moment was constantly sifting between my overly used VB.NET syntax and the c# (which is admittedly a bit rusty). I left the project, went to grab some food, and came back to poslish up the class/inheritence as it should be. I have a decent idea on how I want to files to layout, and currently I am experiment with animated sprite movement. So far I am impressed what a few hours can get me. I think something small - a single small grid based view to get things down as a proof of concept.. adding some basic enemies.. power ups.. armor upgrades.. and a quick REQ creator..
