I decided to head out for a Bomb Dig's "Porchetta Sandwich" on a whim for lunch today. So far nothing catastrophic has occurred with my move and I figured this bomb ass weather deserves to be recognized. Off to 72nd and Dodge I went. This being my first food truck run ever I was a little apprehensive about how to order. The nice lady in the truck greeted me warmly, didn't crack a joke on my pronunciation of "poor-chetta" or "porche-etta", and even thew in my name as she handed me my food. I nomm'ed in the shadow of Borders (sad of sorts) while listening to Rush Limbah on 1110AM. A damn tastey sandwich if I have ever had one for lunch (it makes my turkey sandwich look like a chump or sucker in comparison). The bun/roll was big and coated with something tasty. Nice greens for lettuce, something crunchy between the greens and my meat, and the porkloin was stellar. Not too dry.. just enough bacon.. over all good.

Crunchy things - are porkrinds chicarones? Could be. Either way a good meal for seven-fifty. I may have to swing by sometime and have taht chicken/tortilla/poblano/apple coleslaw another day.

Kudos to you Bomb Digs... I love your graphics on your truck.

The testing is done.. only one stray lamb decided to insert data into the system during the 8-10a verboten time. I am leaned back in my chair quickly drumming my fingers together, and every few minutes refreshing the last ten rows while Snow Patrol pt2, by Alpinestars, provides phat background beats.

Oh look.. there's the email to release the flood gates. At best this should prove an uninteresting update.. at worst - disaster.

I would imagine someone's ass is in a sling for bringing a bbgun to school... though I wonder if the mythical and rumored janitor's is still there for shooting crows that get into the gym or school. Haha.

Seriously it's been two freaking weeks of no Mountain Dew in the vending machine at work. I've been reduced to an odd pattern of consuming coke based products... and frankly cherry coke, coke prime, and dr pepper all taste odd sans rum. Ugh. I might start sharpening the pink plastic nail file I found on my desk for the 'Race for the Cure' to menace The Bringer of the Dew. Perhaps I need to take notes of how crack addicts in Law and Order do a stick up to get my character role down.

Possibly the 'phone home' antenna is malfunctioning. I might have to take it apart and see. I could snag a laptop at work and start picking apart their datastreams it the machines.

In other news - my hoarders-eque living arrangement more or less is resolved. The old big furniture is gone for less old furniture for my parents'. Now I am, like, totally a grown up boy with matching furniture and glass tables. I woke up this morning, stumbled out of my bed room, and paused to mutter "where am I and whose living room is this?!". Then I remembered it was mine. Funny. Now to find a place to stack all my stoneware dishes that I suddenly have. Or I could throw out my super-red-tag-marked-down-sale plates from Target that are about five years old. Options.

Oh in other news I forced my hand on my robots (SCIENCE!) and dropped my youtube video link out to a few places. Side note - did you know you can make your own videos and upload them to youtube?! z0mg!

The plan's laid out but now I just need to find time.

Why the hell did it take me thirty minutes to write a stupid ass update statement in phpMyAdmin's database manager? God.. for the life of me that was annoying.

I don't know what my brain was doing last night but damn if I am not tired. Over stimulated mind and horrid dreams of judging debate rounds... not memories of rounds but newly constructed ones from my brainpan. I think I should bill for these rounds this weekend. In other related news - I just had some work dropped on my desk for Nat Sherman. Ha.. rock'n out the high school vibes.

I was mildly aware a buddy of mine on the Facebooks was having some issues with his mom. She was in the hospital, but then the updates stopped except for some third party site. It's not the first time someone's folks were in the medical industrial complex so I wasn't concerned.

That was, until last night.

It turns out the 2012 will be the Year of the Dragon. Specifically a Water Dragon. Interesting turn there chinese astrology.

I then looked into my sign - I'm a Monkey... specifically the Yang Metal variety. While the Yin is inward facing I am yang.. outside facing.

(Geng) Yang Metal is outward piercing, intelligence that needs to know everything, aggressive and strong. Represent the coming of harvest in autumn; the fruit of plant has ripped. Like a sword being sharpen for war, Geng people are strong when compared to others of the same nature. They are sharp, determined, straightforward, strong-willed, does not admit failure easily. They show much enthusiasm and determination in whatever they do, may be too excited and rash at times. This is because they would not like to waste time thinking and contemplating, and once decided they will action without any hesitation. Synthesis says, Geng people exercise great comprehension, and will spare no effort in order to upgrade oneself. They can be proficient in a skill most of the time; apply and reap benefits from what they have studied or learn. Geng people are also very into cleanliness. They have a strong sense of justice, is disagreeable towards unfairness or hypocritical behavior. They also have a chivalrous heart, when they see others suffering from injustice, they will stand up to speak for those suffered with their eloquence, so as to get into favor of others. Shortcomings are stubborn; After having decided on something, will not change decision under whatever circumstances. Geng people are also careless, not paying much attention to fine details or feelings. They can also show no mercy for people whom they don’t like and hence will make enemies very easily.

I was having a hard time figuring out to pick from the amazon $5 buys... so many choices, but of dubious quality. Daft Punk, Garbage ("Beautiful Garbage") Best of Ramones, etc... It seemed, wrong to get a 'best of ramones', but I spied a 'best of blind melon'. Yeah there were some pretty nifty live tracks that made it hard to pass up. The second was Goo Goo Dolls's "Superstar Car Wash".

So far not I am pleased as punch.

Side note - fuck you Orson Scott Card. You are going to milk that Ender's Game series until I detest the original book I loved since that fateful day in junior high at the Scholastic Book Fair? The day I picked up 'Enders Game' and have since loaned and bought over half a dozen since then? Sure I can handle series with sequels and branches but what is transpiring here is just a shell of that. "Shadows in Flight"?! Piss off.
