In two days I have turned back 1559 comment spam items. No, favorite fan, that does not count you. I think now I shall see how many *real* visits I get. I am guessing over half of those visiting my site were spammers..

Here's the breakdown of this last month.. I am guessing Russia will fall to zero.. Miscellaneous eastern block countries as well.. south east asia will dry up... and the "unknown" and "euro country" will fall as well.

Wait until next month and we can compare.

Last day of reporting service training. Ug. Hopefully it's short.

My stats have been off the chart with the sudden glut of comment spam..

I tend to average about 30-40 visits a day for about 800kb to 1mb... Here's two days that stand out:
25 Feb 2009 226 for about 26.22 MB
26 Feb 2009 286 for about 38.70 MB

Since rejimming my spam plan it has turned back 206 comment spams.. Damn.

Hopefully my updated spam filter keeps this shit down to a minimum.

Off to class.

In the last two days I have cleared over three hundred spam posts to my blog. what the hell?! In retaliation I have installed a plug in that should cut down the crap coming in.

120 "unique" visitors today. Just today. Guess why? That's right.. spam. I ended up deleting damn near 180 spam posts. Not a large fan of those folks.

Today starts my four days of MIcrosoft Reporting Services training. On the plus side the facility is a short hop from home. On the down side: it's MS reporting services training. It's about building reports. I swear if I don't learn something new in this (I did spend about a month picking this shit up on my own a year ago) I will be angry. I also wonder what they are going to do for lunch. Hmm. About $3k for four days I would hope they could spend the time giving us something good.

Who knows.

The Fremont gun show was highly entertaining and slightly amazing in terms of sheer volume of weapons, people, and mossey-oak clothing. Fucking huge I would say.

The trip consisted of: my buddy Bruce, my Uncle, and my uncle's grandson. Being the slightly more prepared individual I had to buy two tickets.. to the gun show (one for me and Baaaruce). For some reason I thought of Ross when I said to the lady handing out tickets "AH.. yeah.. I need two tickets *pause* to the gun show. I giggled.

The amount of commerce being done, haggling, and bartering was unprecedented. People walking around with guns and giant 'for sale' tags on them.. tables of awesome hand guns.. and of course WWII paraphernalia. I was tempted to buy a 'out the front' switch blade (Video seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_jYuNW-y48), but thought I could spend a hundred bucks else where. Bruce found his spring action knife (which he broke), but opted against getting it. instead we left, went to the ATM to get some cash (cash only at this joint).. and all he ended up buying was a WWII 2 deutch mark... with a swastika on it. I dubbed it his "nazi coin".

A great two hour jaunt if I say so (and I do).

Legal Lunch day was great. It seems MyBiggestFan (MBF) is way too in love with world of warcraft. MBF waited seven hours to get on, let the dinner brought up by the SO get cold, and played until the wee hours of the morning. Moderately concerning. Not to mention the constant tie in to the character.. a male elf. Strange!

Too bad Oblivion will not be out for the Mac. PS3, 360, and PC all have it. To MBF - Oblivion is like WOW without the need to be online to play nor the monthly fees. I know how much you hate interacting with people!

Travis's comment regarding Susan's "parts that are too old to be fixed" was a gem. Not to mention the geeked out "Mafia wars" and "enders game" chat coming out of the Conway coner.

I heart my legal lunch dates... Ha!

This weekend I am heading to Fremont for their gun show. This will probably be with my uncle.. and 50/50 if my buddy will go. For a person that allegedly is worried about: BRock taking away the ability to buy assault weapons, home security, and general "cool factor" my buddy is a lame gun fan. He buys one, whines that I don't have one, and will not live the life style of gun show visitations. Oh well. I smell adventure for me! Maybe I'll buy a knife.. Yeah.. a knife would be good. karambit perhaps.

Side note I am getting pissed at all the folks leaving myspace for dbag facebook! Arg!

I guess the weather guys get a tip of the hat for the snow prediction. About 8-10 inches in most places, but by 5pm it was done, and by 9pm it was okay-ish to go out. Most of the roads were cleared and life was good.. well good for all those who were not in light poles or in a ditch (and believe you me there were a few folks like that last night).

I am now toying with jumping back on the Lipodrene bandwagon. It's been a few years since I was hitting those up twice a day, but hell it might be fun to dabble again. *shrug* who knows.

Happy valentines day or 'singles awareness day' to my readers. Now where's my candy?

We have been warned of a snow storm of some moderate proportions is making its way east ward. The weather channels have been warning us for about two or three days. Damn near white out conditions.. five to eight inches of snow.. blah..blah..blah. The worst part is it is going to start at 8am or so. That means hit the road to work before eight. This is going to seriously hamper any drunken Friday evenings. Oh well.

Side note - has anyone seen my biggest fan? I hear she is hooked on WOW now. I wonder what character she plays. Horde? Alliance? Gnome tinker or undead thief?

Who knows.

Hell I was even thinking of getting the VIG pass ($500) which gets you into a bunch of extra crap. Hmmmm... Indy's what? Ten hour drive from Omaha? That's totally doable. A bit father than say Denver....

'True Dungeon' i think exists there. Yeah.. Yeah.. I know what some of you are thinking: "But you *hate* LARPrs! How does this figure?" I can only respond with this is *not* LARPing. It's not the same. At all. Proof is because I want to do it and I want to beat up LARPrs.

I wonder if I can rope Tad into going. He would probably exact the price of going to ComicCon with him next year.. but that's in San Diego and a lot farther of a trip.

Hell I might just go by myself!
