Yes.. yes I am. New weirdo guy has been here a week and a day. His first day he showed up in ratty jeans, a hoodie-shirt, and a pair of dirty sneakers. Okay. The next few days he cleaned up his dress code. Cool.

The first warning issue sounded a day into his working here when he was having a discussion with a secretary and dk regarding installing certain software that was outside his scope and responsibility (according to dk). So clearly n00b was asking for software that was a bit irregular.

The problem then migrated to the start of the week when I heard n00b asking one of our secretaries for blank cds.

Mkay.

Odd.

Then for the last few days prior to today I noticed n00b was burning MSDN isos to disks and copying down the product keys... ah.. what? Why would you back up the isos Microsoft stores for us on CDs? This can't be a good thing. It is very rare we would be burning things to a CD (when we can transfer them to the general server storage) or use a jump drive. I mean hell - I haven't burned a CD here... ever.

So being the curious bastard I am I sent an email out to the secretary next to the n00b and asked if this was legit. n00b was always a bit jumpy and what not when I walked by. It seems from said secretary he's been printing off quite a bit of paperwork and the secretary has "a bad feeling" about this guy.

Well in a brilliant expected/unexpected turn of events the secretary forwarded the email to her boss and mine. Doh.. I guess n00b is Jefe's pet and she sounded quite offended that we would question it. My guess is now I am no jefe's shit list.

I still don't trust him and I think he just got to work a few minutes ago.
