If everyone remembers - Back on 2008.09.12 I won a case of 'Hint Water' via thebachelorguy.com. I know I promised a review, and sometime mid to late October my case came in. I opted for tropical punch figuring that sounded safer than say cucumber.

Let's see how the case faired after the jump.

I received a box of two plastic wrapped cases containing twelve bottles a piece. Hmm. I was a bit annoyed that they didn't have a "sampler" pack - why was I locked into one flavor for TWENTY FOUR BOTTLES?! Seems like bad marketing.

The packaging was nothing amazing.
Plastic bottle - check.
See through label - check.
Image of what flavor - check.

The bottles indicated they should be chilled when drank. I threw a few in the fridge and cracked a third one wondering how bad can they be at room temperature. Well.. yeah, it was water. There was a strange aftertaste that might be pineapple? or some sort of plasticy taste. Oh well. I chucked the bottle out and waited for the others to chill.

Hmm.. after opening a chilled one I still got that same funky after taste that made me really not want to drink it. This is why I was hoping for a sampler pack versus two cases of the same thing.

Was this funk inherent to all their water?

Was this funky after taste the tropical punch?

I have no idea of knowing.

As for flavor - outside of the aftertaste there was nothing tropical or punchy regarding the taste. It vaguely smelled like tropical punch but nothing that wowed me.

Conclusion:
I give a plus for winning it to thebachelorguy.com.
I give a 5 out 10 on the water appearance.
I give a 2 out of 10 for the taste.
I also will give a 3 out of 10 for not just giving me a damn sampler pack!

End game is this bottled water is just another faceless entity in the endless sea of waters. It doesn't stand out, it tastes strange, and is wholly unremarkable. I won't be looking for this in the convenience marts any time soon.
