Glimpet's just got her birthday present and was squeeling with unbridled joy. It brought a goofy ass grin to my face because she was freaking out so.

Let's take it a step back.

The phone call came in, and I thought about passing it up while I worked. "Nah" I thought, I'll get it and see what's up (incase it might be some sort of emergency).

She was uber excited on the phone then proceeded to ask if I left something up there for her. I answered, "but of course - your birthday present. Why do you ask?"

Then the torrent of how awesome it was came gushing over the phone, and it was accompanied by "why didn't you put your name on it?!". My only answer is "Who else would have wrapped something in pirate wrapping paper?".

L1 was in the background laughing and affirming that only I would do such a thing.

There were about a hundred questions she wanted to know about it, but I cut her off and explained the smaller picture was the picture of the signing as it happened at GoodMorning America. A few more hundred thank yous and a threat that if I was there she would have squeezed me to death in thankyou.

How nice was that phone call? I was a bit unsure if the present would go over with a "Meh, I have a hundred of those that *I* actually got" to about three levels less in excitement than what I ended up getting.
