24/03: Acer H233H
Holy crap! The ol' NEC, while a dear and I adore her much, has just been chucked out for something brighter, bigger, and more sexy! Good bye old reliable, hello new hotness!
Let me expound on this for a bit. The ol' Nec was a multisync 75. That's 17" baby! The manufacture date on the back was March 2001. Wow. How the hell did I use that for all this time? Oh that's right. The prior monitor was a Viewsonic 19" CRT that crapped out on me after a few years (the screen turned pee yellow).
The new hotness is running at 1920x1080.
The new hotness is 23" wide screen HD. I'm not sure how I survived with such limited real estate. Specifically this H233H monitor.
The bastard is bright. It's quick. There are zero dead pixels. The viewing angle (angel? - lullz) kicks ass. I was able to watch 28 Days Later and it was fucking amazing. The Office on Hulu was next. Wow.. Hella great.
The only thing I could complain against is the lack of vertical height adjustment. Oh well. Boo fraking hoo.
It's half the power consumption.
When comparing images on dual screens I about shit myself in terms of what I was looking at just yesterday and what I am looking at now.
I am not sure how I am going to be able to go to work with my two 21" wide screens. Tsk.

Your new monitor sounds very exciting. I am sure Travis will be quite jealous and upgrade his equipment further.
What is the nature of the video game you are designing ? Could it rival or surpass WOW? Let me know if you need a tester. I have become quite a gamer.
