Oh legal lunch.. you certainly bring the hilarity... while the courthouse was emptied (and justice was taken off the menu for lunch) pancakes were a good substitute.

I am still miffed about not getting my domain, but that is subsiding into a dull throb - waiting for 2014.

As it is, I seem to be going to Bobcat Goldthwait's movie ("God Bless America") premier at the Funny Bone. uberG had a ticket and found that texting me was a good plan. So stay a bit late here to make up for my extended lunch, swing home, throw on some other clothes, and head out to the movie. Fuck the gym tonight I guess. There's always Thursday.

The song off the fifth album from Garbage doesn't sound too bad. I hope there's more depth to the rest of the songs... Catchy though. May 5th the albums out? Though they are playing in Denver April 24th.. hmmmmmmmmm

Still expiring!

Yes.. I set my alarm this morning to get up for this.. and that domain is still expiring. I am crazy stoked.

I finally took the time to patch my blog and then some... *sigh* It's always a bit nerve wracking to see if you got all the files and rewrite your custom code.

Hmm.. one more day until my domain name I have been hunting for goes into the final stages of being expired..

If it expires tomorrow then there's a thirty to forty day grace period.. then there's a redemption period.. then there's a five day "deletion phase" where, it is rumored, that the last day (between 11am and 2pm Pacific time) it drops of ICANN.

I think I'll avoid dropping phat wads of cash at some auction and just run stealth mode... hmm.. domain names.

On a whim, and to spite my lunch I made, I saw Bomb Digs was going to be out on this blue skyed day... and were serving the mac and cheese I've been looking for. I scooped up my keys and off I went. A nice chat with the lady working there and then popped into my car to listen to covers on 89.7 and eat my giant thing of mac. Good stuff.. a few types of cheeses, some crusty things on top, chives, and.. *gasp* bacon.

I got my nom on there, saw Marcus pullup, and went out to chat with him. Oh damn.. I had to go back to work. Either way a delightful mac and cheese alternative for today's sandwich.

I don't know what I decided to do to my right knee last night but damn if it wasn't get swelly and hurty when I fully locked it. So a bit of hobbling around last night and this morning I was annoyed. Thankfully my job roots me firmly in one spot and I just realized about ten minutes ago it's not doing the whole achey thing. *sigh* I guess I can't amputate it.

Oh and this damn Blackberry phone is a piece of work, I tell you what. Trying to figure out how to download the app store or some such nonsense coupled with "too many redirects" or some crap.. ugh. Why do people have these again?


On the plus side I have an in line audio for my headphones again. The bastard fonotopia ones I picked up a hear ago started to die out... I thought - well maybe just unadulterated level 1 might be okay for work.. ah.. no. I had those things crammed up near my ears and it was shockingly loud. I guess I must listen to my music at half level 1 - no wonder all these kids now a days are going deaf early. ugh.

After an intense and laborious move for my youngest sister to her new joint I have to report a causality - about four or so I was on the Dodge on ramp to N680... and right before the bridge loop my driver's side running board flew off in the wind! Pig fucker... I am reasonably certain it's still there (where else would it go?!) and a quick price check online confirms I will be making a risky attempt at snatching it up tomorrow. That means coming south on 680 - shooting for the dodge exit - passing the west dodge.. and juuuuuuuust after the east dodge ramp pull off into that field and rummage around. I am certain I might not survive but I will give it to the college try!

Random phone call from Pops alerting me that 'Clash of the Titans' is currently on TCM. Ha! He knows me too damn well.

I had dinner with Pops (and Connie - at Connie's) as per Sunday ritual since time unremembered when the Old Man threw out that him and Connie are going to a 'devil may care' (my words) schedule for the foreseeable future and thus visiting hours are no longer set in stone and on a call by call basis.

Well fuck me.

I should have hollared, stopped the party, and had everyone sing Happy Birthday to Bossman. It didn't occur to me, until after the cliqueish med school drama was behind me. . Fuck I am a bad friend. A song, a congrats, and a jarring stop of the music. Stupid.

Bossman finally came over last night to get his music. He was simultaneously concerned about hurrying up because of the late hour (being it was 10.30pm) and wanting me to go slower with my music. He should have snagged enough songs.. though him farting on my bed was annoying.

Amusingly I was working with my FezPandaII and he didn't even ask what was up with it. I guess it's not interesting to everyone.

He was wondering about settling up his tab... I told him not to worry about it... I mean I can't rightly take money from a guy who has zero income at the minute. Geeze.

One of the system's rules (that's been in effect since December 2010) was just found out to tell the user to reply to the email regarding missing information, but the email they reply to is a box that is not monitored and eventually bounces back the email. We've just heard about this for the first time today. Ugh. Why tell them to reply to an email address that does not accept emails?!

An off night for our weekly ritual, but a good night. Dinner/drinks with my comrades and The Anna... then a new buddy, Tyson, was there... good conversations with a plethora of Harvey Wallbangers... deposit a buddy, and off to the 'Box on a quest undefined. A quick meet up of The Captain, her brother, Brad, and Lori. An intense exchange of what is going on, then the Captain left with her brother (probably her driver). A month of hilarity will ensue. Over all it seems the Universe is kind and things occasionally fall into place (without the need of a mallet).

On a lark I texted an old coworker of mine about having some lunch. I was eyeballing Bomb Digg's super foodie-awesome-mac-and-cheese but the response was to head to some place called "B&G"s a few blocks further up Dodge. yeah.. not doing that again. The food was unimpressive, but the retro atmosphere was handsomely complemented by the conversation. Seriously - it's not possible my buddy could have studied up on the exact conversation from a year, two, and three years back. Damn near verbatim! It was super spooky. Christopher Walkin - check. Bitch'n about the Rich'n? Check. Bitch'n about the Skeletor? Check. It literally is the same bitch I thought would have ended after our... untimely permanent vacations but shit, I guess not.

I think I won't be doing that again for a while.. ugh.

Of course this might be all miscolored (though probably not) by my non hungover Tuesday self. Yeah... the first time in three grips that I didn't go out Monday night.. I was feeling tired and just sat watching some tv, chatted with a sister or two, and went to bed. Super duper strange. Though things are in the mix for guest bartenders, of sorts, and I am totally not giving up the cat from the bag on that one.

Seriously Red Cross - how many times do you think it is appropriate to call me a day? Once? Four times? For fuck's sake I think I am going to donate out of spite and to make the f'n phone calls just *STOP* versus my usual intent of racking up a backlog of saved lives so I can cash them in to snuff out lives of my enemies (at least that is how the system was explained to me). It wouldn't be so bad if they just acknowledge the incessant phone calls for my bodily fluids and cracked a joke.. but yeah yeah yeah I get it's an automated system.

Oh look at that. The usual West-o location has *only* 6.30a - 7.15a slots. Funk that. I think I'll just wander in and be done with it around 10.30am.

I am intrigued by Bossman's 90's themed birthday party next Friday. I suspect I am invited for my vast collection of 90's music and not for my cheerfully humble tone and attitude towards pseudo-doctors. Hmm.. I wonder if my Lawyer or The D were invited? Maybe get Bruce in... Ha. Larks; gotta love them.

Oh my god.. that Gashouse turkey thing a ma-roo was fucking amazing. I find throwing an egg on it made it three times more amusing that just a hot turkey sandwich. On the plus side the cashier lady seemed to recognize me from a few months ago when I was there.

Oh my... bacon.. turkey.. egg... awesome! I should have bought six and ditched work for the day.
