It seems I went a bit too native on my ten days off. The Whistler is starting to really really grind my gears.

After the battle with, what I imagine is, this super flu thing.. I think I am going to survive. A bit light headed but not as achie as yesterday or near death as the day before... Now time to eyeball that 'christmas letter' I was trying to write yesterday to everyone.. because.. you know.. it was a good idea at the time.

Really? My body deviates from the normal routine of food, drinking, and company and now I am sick. God damn it. Fucking flu. Ugh.

Now I finished my book and I am using my amazon wishlist (aka my list of things that sounded interesting at the time) and using it to guide me in buying a book for my nook on B&N. Such a fucked up system.

In other news - I have a new scanner. I turns out the reason I was such a slack ass on getting photos copied was I hated having to log into a virtual machine of windows xp or reboot into my normal partition to use a scanner Canon refuses to create drivers for because - god forbid - I would use the same piece of tech for more than eight years.

I am now rolling into the digital age in style - Pops got me a Nook Glow for christmas. Way too damn cool... now the sucker just needs to charge before I can turn it on...

Oh and Linzo made everyone the traditional egg casserole that Mom would do.. everyone got a smallish pan to take home (well one for Ash, one for me, and one for Pops)... nom nom nom.. I wish it was morning so I could throw it in the oven and scarf on it now.

When Snowmageddon swept through I lost power.. a lot.. While not having heat sucked what was worse was in the morning when I plugged everything back in (mind you I didn't think to do this until about an hour into the power blinking off and on)... and it seems my original sub from the mother f'n Gateway 2000 *FACTORY* circa 1993 is dying. It's making odd static noises and I am not sure how to fix it.

This may mean a whole new speaker set.

Sweet! I get to head home at 2.30 ( in 10 minutes) to sort of beat the snow but not the freezing rain! Here's hoping for a slow and quiet commute.

Awww.. I am almost, partially, somewhat saddened by Mr. Huggins' voice mail telling me I didn't get the job... but I was totally going to be the second person they called if the first guy didn't take the job offer. Again.. (and this is starting to get really suspicious) is I was told that I "interviewed well". Well not shit.

If it wasn't for the bad advice on the jeans I wouldn't be overly concerned. *sigh* I was sort of half halfheartedly expecting a bit of change.. but hey.. I gotta good gig here.

It's been twice today already I've had an uneasy 'deja vu' feeling.. and not just like 'well that was odd' but it had some sort of funky negative connotations floating around in the back of my brain pan...

I wonder what's up... it better not be something from this f'n snow.

I was haphazardly invited to the 'Box's christmas party tonight.. today.. this afternoon. I was invited at 2.3a Sunday morning.. for a 5pm (Sunday) gift giving.. okay.. I can do this.. one air popcorn maker later (admits blowing cash for my secret santa and niece/nephew) I was set.. wrapped that shit up, by passed the gym (why wouldn't I make that at 8pm?!) and off I go... sure.. lori, holley, bree, bree's sister, paul the cook, b-rad, tracy, yvette, and justin #1 were all part of it. For some reason they thought I brought a hamster.. for a bobcat.

A fairly mundane go around of stealing and gift giving everyone was happy.. Paul and his bottle of jack, me and a quart of Corona Special (which I shared with everyone)... of course this lead to wings, B-Rad and I bitching about mac vs windows, and some how I left there at 12.15am.... I still had grocery shopping (yeaaah! snookered shopping!) and mustered out of there for some quality blog posting.

Fuuuuuuuuuuck.. after working on some bad ass collaborative html5 code, sort of being introduced to the possibility of working with a guy from EA (who b-rad redid a basement on) and a few shots.... .. this just ties off a fucked up Friday with Crazy Deb.. Voodoo Lounge.. drinking.. blowing off Bruce on Saturday.. money.. less money.. and now.

Ugh.. I need work to sober up!

It seems I am behind my twitter feeds and was off three days on the news. Clerks 2 goes down as one of my top favorite movies... and this is just amazingly good news. Kickstart? Yes! sign me up! With the movie being Randal-centric and a theme about dedicating one's life to a passion that may not get you anywhere I think I may leave the theater bawling. Stoopid emotions.

I was pretty on board for this interview... cool as a cucumber in the produce section... but in the ten minutes it sort of started creeping up on me... and it's still five hours away. *sigh*

In my exuberance to get to work (on time despite the thick fog and dbags going 20 on Dodge) I get out of my car, look down, and notice I am wearing two different shoes. This is why I try to keep dissimilar colors in my foot wear.
