2012.08.27 (00:34): Hell I might have to split up days..
I just tried out parallel grip upright shoulder presses - woooh.. wow. I wasn't sure about it until I tried 50's - not hard to pick up and carry around but damn hard to press on.. so I scaled it back to 35's and was able to keep a good form and do four sets of eight. Yeah a whole new range of motion from the usual sit down row (and vertical row). Me likey.
Taking some advice from TwinMuscleWorkout I am going to plateau my weight increases for a bit and increase sets. So the new routine is upright row at 290, four sets of eight - shooting for five sets. Vertical row is now 100lb, four sets of ten.. sled press - the usual five plates a side for four sets (shooting for five).. and this is a real piece of advice from TMW - push with the heel. Calf raises at 300lbs for four sets shooting for five.. and a mile and a half cardio run/jog/walk (at an incline).
I have to say my traps are getting some bulk. Yeppie for results!

2012.08.23 (22:00): Ugh..shoulda.. couda.. mighta..
I should have been to the gym already, but spent the night watching the Truman Show on AMC... with popups. Now I am slightly motivated to go but not really. Lord knows I'll just spend my time futzing around here and go to bed at midnight or one.
2012.08.22 (19:31): Propositions..
Lunch was.. interesting. An old debate associate, with part of his team, met for Tai food and chat about their joint. They were defiantly pushing the "we are totally not corporate and damn a frat with our crass language and relaxed dress code". Not bad - they are taking off on their main core software, but I am not quite sure if this is the fit for me. It would be a different pace where the devs were the rockstars and not just a cost department.
Hmm.. I'll have to chew on it for a day or so.

2012.08.18 (02:52): How will tonight go?
Last night I woke up of a dead sleep at 2.53am because it was too quiet. I shit you not.. no cars.. no neighbors.. no AC machines.. no crickets.. no bugs.. no wind.. no birds.. zip.. nada.. zilch. It was really unnerving and god knows if I didn't start to cold sweat because of the coming zombies.. Then it occurred that if zombies were going nuts there would be more chaos, fire, and yelling.
Let's see if I can hit eight hours of sleep and be happy in the morning

2012.08.16 (10:51): Ball'n..
This should be a fun day off work... aaaaaaaaand the job hunters are in full force this morning. Whew..
2012.08.14 (02:57): Five years...
Shockingly it has been five years... well shy under five years since Mojo passed to wait for me in the clearing (as Stephen King has put it)... I cannot say I am shocked I am still here... there were times, oh there were times... but I have weathered them all. I am left with doubt and unanswered questions...
2012.08.09 (00:35): There's something to be said..
There's something to be said for having my Lawyer and the Good Doctor out on a weekly beer and recap fest. It screams "something is slightly more right than it should be" into the night.
2012.08.07 (00:18): Cryptozoic freak out..
Screw you Discovery and your thorough and completely spooky look into the Navy covering up aquatic apes... or as they are better known in folklore - mermaids.
The particular evidence is interesting in its recreation and dramatic music, as well as tapped into things I have wondered about. If there are aquatic apes and the military's sonar is killing them that's not a good thing.. or maybe it is. Perhaps these are the pseudo Atlantians of yore... a bet more nomadic... and the navy's just doing their part to keep them in check. MEh.. makes me want to spin up a job search to throw my lot in with the navy's research areas.
Ugh... this Coast to Coast AM freak out session needs to end. I am in the middle of a continent during a massive drought.. I think I am okay for tonight... tonight.

2012.08.06 (01:29): How I spent my Curiosity landing..
The day was filled with Godfather I and II with much intricate painting.. A brief phone call from Bruce who was less than pleased I was going to drop my activities to go over there... A possible agreement that I would call later in the afternoon/evening... A trip to the gym.. groceries.. checking on Pete... a dinner of a salad and fruit.. then heading home to take a cat nap for the rover landing... this was diverted to going to the 'Box for a quick few (and to scout out any shenanigans that might have come forth from Lori's odd planning meeting Saturday night/Sunday morning)..
This turned into chatting with people and then my inevitable sticking around (the drive time would have fucked up my schedule).. I tried to rally some people to care but boobie photohunt took precedence. I saw the landing and watched the mirth of the NASA folk to the tune of some group of dbag Golden Tee people's shitty country music. I paid my tab and left to Willie Nelson's "God Bless America" on my Zune. I get home to see all the news stations decided to go to shitty prerecorded crap programs. I watched some of the NASA footage live on the web.. shed tears that no one seemed to care about the magnitude of this.. and now a bit sullen and annoyed.
Fuck people.

2012.08.05 (22:31): good day at the gym!
290 on the low row was better.
300 on the calf raises for four sets of 15.
Cable twists at 47.5lb. Three sets of 10.
Five plates a side for sled press... four sets of fifteen.
new exercise with an up right row. Gett'n my form down with 70lb got three sets of ten. Yeah that will be bumped up by a lot. Probably flip to a bar and weights verses the cable machine.
Cardio was ten minutes on the bike with thirty minutes on the treadmill.
Good stuff.

2012.08.04 (14:41): Oh fuck you to the third level of hell Eufloria!
God damn fucking game... arggghghhjsdafl;ksadfj;lk;sadlfj;lsadfj1111!!!!1! Six or seven times thrashing around on level eleven and I can't seem to fucking get a head as the red enemy seedlings come flooding in at all levels like a Beelzebub's on personal bidet.
*sigh* I better wise up on my uber rush if I want to crack all the story lines in Eufloria.

2012.08.02 (20:02): Score!
I finally hit 290 on the up right row! The first set was easy.. the second and third my body caught on to the ruse - my cunning attempt to trick it - and started to protest. What evs.. It wasn't that long ago when I was sub 100lb...
point to me!
point to me!
2012.08.01 (01:15): post Saturday communique..
So far nothing back on the Saturday evening chat/hangout session with the radio personality... further digging provided some interesting information and yet I can't find her when her alleged time is on. I may have to make some sort of positive action.
2012.08.01 (01:08): Redesign - yes!
Secret Project #1 - Pieces of What got a quick redesign... as in I think I have what I want it to look like (pinstripes?)... and now it's converting the schlock of crap I have to said new awesomeness. Hopefully that's tomorrow.
In other news - not having my blog at work sucks.
In other other news - a text to remember:
"Hmmm. Crud. I wonder what the zoo's return policy is on a slightly used baby seal with a moderate pixie stick addiction. *sigh* "
I then later declared said baby seal's name was Leopold and I called him Leo.
Where the hell do thoughts come from?
Time to get through a few more chapters of "Reamde", and shove off my mission critical projects on to the testing phase so I can get to the meat of my other projects backed up in the works.
