Bloopers - don't screw this up. I am still here at work because DK made me quite paranoid something would fuck up. Arrrggg...

Two trips the 'Moon... one for beer and gossip.. one fifteen minutes later for dinner with Falloutboy. Arrg. I am going to be missing the World Series Game 1... dinner with dad.. and not being at work at 7pm.

If you fuck this up bloopers you are a marked man.

Oh - Jefe is pulling weight to keep Sticks for this reorg? Hmm...

For the first time in a long while I think I am fighting a sinus infection. Yesterday I was certain I was going to shank someone with a sharpened plastic knife from the cafeteria... though that might have been being jumped by DK when i got in, slammed with three emails, and then finding each email (one progressively larger in impact) resolved by incompetence (all at the start of the morning).

Joys.

I broke down and ordered my Western Digital Blue 500gb SATA drive. It had free 2 day UPS shipping. That's nice. Office Depot was a joke on hard drives (I had only a shred of hope they wouldn't be). It should be here tomorrow. Yeppie!

My halloween makeup came yesterday... and a book I preordered from May is finally going to ship! I heart newegg.com and Amazon.com. Thank god i don't live in a city where they have same-day delivery. eeiks!

Ooooooh Halloween! Oooooh Halloween!

UPS finally got my copy of Windows 7 dropped off! My first OS purchase in 10 years. I am going to finally bite the bullet and get a nice Western Digital Blue 500 gb SATA drive.

*sniff* *sniff* Sunsetting IDE is a hard thing to do.

On the other hand I might go off the deepend and get me about 16 gb of RAM. That would be boss shit.

Let's cross our fingers Office Depot has the Blue WD for the $54.00.. lest I have to put ANOTHER order in with newegg.

Oh the joys of steak au poivre. A succulent and exceedingly amazing blend on the cusp of awesome and dangerous.

Of course the food is amazing but the entertainment was excellent. An insane dog running laps through three rooms, two-foot tall flames, singed plastic, music, alarms, and a movie.

Good times.. good times. Lord knows they suffered my long winded stories and adventures. Huzzah.

I did get some decent sleep, but I find myself a bit worn down today. More sleep is needed. 9pm bed time for this guy.

Mentoring was good. I am a bit worried Nate might be too wrapped up in the violence of video games. He seems to enjoy talking about the 'achievements' in games like Fable where he had 9 wives and was widowed 9 times.. and has 4 virtual stds. Ahuh. Strange. He's on my watch list for a while.

Our CIO has admitted there will be some firings and layoffs.
Also that he favors the flexibility of contractors over a constant stable number of developers.
And he doesn't like custom code that much.
There of course was a great many things answered with non-answers.

It was concerning that these things are happening in two weeks to a month period (god that might double that amount in real time).

Who knows - I might be out of a job... doubt it but possible.

Damn.. last night was a long night. What was going to be a nice night sleeping in turned into a general cluster fuck of phone calls, driving, head locks with accompanying throat chokes, and a quarter bottle of rum.

I wonder if I care to go out tonight or just sleep?

Oh and an hour we have our "all hands meeting" were the new reorg is unveiled in some sort of "ta-da" flourish.

2009.10.16 (15:08): Affenpinscher

Affenpinscher is a funny word to say and to read.

Ah-phen-pin-cher.

Bloopers took his usual hour and a half lunch today.. after rolling in a few minute past nine. I am curious to see if he stays past five. Fallout boy and I are guessing Jefe and DK's meeting with him was just about a no call/no show.. not this "let's not be fucking available all day long" business.

Have a merry affenpinscher day!

2009.10.15 (16:29): Fun times..

Legal lunch was fun as always. Great conversation - and pleasantly mediocre food.

On my way back in it was found out that blooper's employment status was in question by some other managers! He was still a no call/no show and was holding up this project move. Damn! I hoped and prayed and alas he was in today and only got a talking to. Sad.

2009.10.14 (11:42): Puzzling..

I have been puzzling over the events of last weekend and the last few years. Has my "stalker" (as someone aptly put it) really a stalker.. if so how to handle it.

On a side note I think I am going to try and start a grassroots movement to make a pillar in our office a shrine to one of my bosses. I'm not sure how he will roll with the idea but if I keep it quiet and make it seem like a group effort it would be hard to take down.

Oh and if anyone sees Bloopers running around today tell him to get his bitch ass back to work - he needs to finish the stupid move he started yesterday. At 2.30pm.

2009.10.06 (15:13): Damn no field trip!

I was ramping up my stoked mindset for my field trip to the court house... but nooooooooooooo.. my buddy decided to be selfish and his lawyer got his 'willful and reckless' down to 'speeding'.
No day off work..
no traipsing around the court house..
NO watching the judicial wheels in motion....
no pestering people down there that i know..
No trying to spike his time in front of the judge with a giant foam finger and an air horn...
No fun at all!

Now I have to go to stinky old work that day.

If you are cognizant of your own good deeds or actions one takes to do good deeds does that cheapen the deed itself?
