2014.02.27 (17:29): Son of a biscuit!!
I was pulled out of work for a day long ESOP conference, and beebopped around all day there picking up new information, and slowly immersing myself in the whole 'employee stock owner program'... On my way home (an hour earlier than usual) I get the idea - hey, why not pay off my car.. I got like six payments left, right?!
I get home, crank out some numbers, and see that sure.. I can take the hit now, but would be better off for it. I call up the bank and pepper them with some question, and the guy levels with me that I have three times as much to pay off as I assumed. Just because my current book has six slips left it doesn't mean I am done.. no, see.. they print out books of thirty-six and mail them to you.. when thirty six are done you still get ANOTHER book (up to 36) for the rest.
Son of a bitch! Here I was all jazzed that the light was close to the end of the tunnel, but that was just a fucking flicking bulb. No.. you got whole mess farther to go... at least a year and a half... not just half a year.

That and this potential other job ended up being filled. Ugh..

Five thirty to one-fifteen I was on watching/playing/guard duty for my niece and nephew... eesh! Thankfully everyone was tucked in and locked down by 8.30-9, but a scampering ninja princess made a few appearances to tell me things she liked.
It seems the JTimberlake show ran long, and then a flat tire on the interstate held up my sister and hubby.

It's amazing.. I am at the cusp of paying off all long term debit, and here I am spending moolah not even received! I figure tax refund plus side job should clear the slate, but I hear a sad story of a possible eviction and a sad face and I am here to say 'why sure.. if you need three hundo to cover some rent for the month I think I can make due..'.
There goes the plans for an up-to-date cell phone.. there goes the plans of fleeing the country for a week.. Fucking a.
While those things are relatively immaterial it would be nice to coast out the last of the debt and be done with it. The Five-Plus-Year-Plan would have worked out a head of clockwork.
At least I have my Alice in Chains ticket for May.
