Going down Dodge - east bound - in the left hand lane. There's a guy on a blue crotchrocket in front of me keeping pace with the car in front of him. I give the biker room knowing damn well traffic (this early in the morning) has a tendency to just stop for no f'n reason.

As it is - large white truck (with loud ass exhaust) is in the center lane riding the ass of the car in front of them.. Suddenly the truck decides it wants to occupy the same space as the biker.. with quick thinking the biker pops over into the shoulder, jams on his brakes (with how long this truck was wouldn't have worked if still on the pavement), wobbles, nearly takes it in the gravel, corrects, and gets behind the truck (who was now applying his brakes) right before the over pass.

FFS folks - *LOOK* for peeps in the lane you think you need to be in.

After a talk this previous weekend I was hoping for something, maybe more papers or such, but this is a good start.

Integer programming.

Summary

Integer programming problems can be solved using an algorithm for a method of cuts. This provides optimal values for linear functions in which integers comprise the decision variables. The requirement of integer values makes a problem more than just a linear programming problem. Two examples are presented, one showing how integer programming may not be solvable by rounding off linear programming solutions. The other example is a successful integer programming solution.

I am indebted to Drs. Joe Wampler and Bob Bryan of Nebraska Wesleyan University for their considerable advice on statistical procedures.

So, newish guy gets ANOTHER recognition award. Sure.. he's working on folks fringe projects which makes them elated that there is progress.. sure he doesn't do a lot of maintenance.. sure he only has two or three apps in his silo (and not, say, 32 or so).

Mildly annoyed.

For the last three (and a half) working business days the vending machines have been MIA of precious Mountain Dew, and were eventually removed because someone decided to get a new company (that'll probably charge up the yang for items) and the old company stopped caring.

I think I may slide out the back door and make a run for some.. ugh.. but I am busy today with a hundred smaller cuts that are trying to bleed me dry.

Decisions.. decisions...

I'll put this on my list for fall/winter projects... dive into the Hemi-Sync... see if I can create an O.B.E. or jack with some lucid dreaming.

I should put down Borderlands2 and dig out my old template I was working on for this site.. push it to using drupal or something like that.. be more flashy, organized, and put the stray thoughts of my posts here into a more coherent content structure.

Where the hell did I leave off on that?

For the first time this year hasn't been the "crippling ball up in a dark corner for about two weeks" sadness, but over lunch that sort of scabbed over resolve is weakening.

Maybe I'll go crash an app to distract me through the afternoon. Destroying something sounds like a good idea.

Excess Baggage

Maybe I can get it on a double pack dvd with some sort of criterion collection release of 'Clueless'?!
