2012.07.30 (01:05): Well this can't be good..
Last night I was up until 6am.. I saw a sunrise.. the first in many summer sunrises I haven't caught. Tonight.. it's now 1am.. and I am still up.. sort of tired but not like I normally am.. this can't be good.. that or the damn creative juices have flowethed too much while looking at knocking out a design for my secret project #2: pieces of what.
On the plus side I picked up Depeche Mode's "Violator" from amazon for five dollars.
PS.. and I think I was on a pseudo hangout with a radio personality this weekend. Odd.
PPS I do believe I want to buy Indiana Jone's canvas bag.. but I don't have shit to carry and I am unsure if I'll look like I am wearing a man purse.

2012.07.28 (23:11): Love that neighborhood trash...
I step outside on my patio to be greeted with trash blown from the overflowing can... oh what is this? It's someone's yellow copy of a release order from the klink... yeah.. apparently someone just got out for a thousand dollar bond. *sigh*
Though it would be amusing to know what the case number tied back to. Ha!

2012.07.22 (15:15): ... and it's done..
Max passed last night. They weren't kidding how fast that cancer operates.
Fuck this.
Fuck this.
2012.07.21 (04:25): Thanks Batman3..
Thanks for disappointing... three hours and I felt abused by how much you beat the main themes into my head.. where's the panache? Where's the writing? Where's the villain? Oh well.. it was a marathon that I didn't feel cheapened by seeing but expected more.
No back flips for this one.. by me or the Tad.

2012.07.20 (01:19): Wood Woe Wilson.. continues
Gesso seems to be working better.. Still not as thick but I am certain a few more applications and sanding will take care of that pesky wood grain.
More moral support on Project: Pieces of What. I am about to embark on the data design phase (now that the GUI is done).. we'll see how that goes. So many connections and so little ways of coherently organizing it all.

2012.07.18 (23:16): Hmm.. hence why testing is good..
It appears wood eats paint.. like a moo focker.
I'll need to pick up some gesso. *sigh* This is why we test.

2012.07.18 (20:49): Secret project #2 - supplies amassed..
Secret Project #2 - designated "Wood Woe Wilson" has now struck out from the safety of planning and into the wilds of the testing stage. A split decision pushed me to head out into the heat to get some supplies from DickBlick (two colors of acrylic, two brushes, paint additive, and a four part plastic paint holder)... then off to Lowes (sand paper, sand paper block, painter's tape, four one foot long piece of shit wood).
Now it's time to wash my hat (lord knows it is giving an awful funk), prep my work area, and start testing paint application on varied surfaces treated with a few different grits of sand paper... then a drying and testing various color combinations applied to first coat.
If all goes well and I find a combination that works the testing phase ends, any extra paint I may need will be purchased, a clear coat can of shelac (though I might have some of that), and the actual final piece of wood composite will be ferreted out for application. Baby steps first on this crazy adventure.
This of course is vastly different from Secret Project #1... designated "Pieces of What".

2012.07.17 (19:13): Not so stellar am I?
It's been an odd gastrointestinal run the last few days... not a big fan of it.
Work sort of game down like a hammer on me... oh so many changes and so little time. We'll see how that goes.
Now to slog through a bit of this geneology web page, a nap, and then off to watch people do some karaoke.
I wonder if The Doctor's in town?
Side note - I am edging closer to busting out some acrylic paint on a skateboard back... slowly this is looking to be real possibility.. a minorly expensive project but doable.
Flat black.. some bright blue.. iridescent additive.. a few brushes.. painters tape.. sanding paper.. and some wax paper. Yup.. this could get interesting.

2012.07.16 (19:48): Eureka.. don't fail me now..
Shit.. the series finale is in ten minutes I am freaking out maaaaaaan! Hopefully the Warehouse 13 crew shows up to save the day and end it all...
2012.07.13 (21:29): Damn ideas..
Stupid brilliant family idea that I think needs critical mass and time to be useful. mmmm....
2012.07.12 (21:13): Amusing and sucking...
I met up with Pops to have a drink or two at the 'Box. An amusing time for sure.. a stupid amount of tab for still being daylight hours and lord knows what hell is being ravaged on my work in box. Cest la vie.. A decent conversation (probably the closest we have come about his wife), and off I went. At home I am greeted with an update on my great aunt from my cousin - I guess the pancreatic cancer pushed Max to stopped eating and more or less is deteriorating. Fuck.. fuckity fuck.
I've had a thirty dollar tab on an empty stomach and frankly feel like going back for another thirty more.

2012.07.11 (22:14): Yawn..
two nights out late... and now I kludged together a decent security system for my brother in law's web app.. too bad I am not up for moving it tonight... yawn.. maybe a drink will help.
2012.07.09 (19:29): I wonder..
I wonder if it would be wrong to suggest my network guys unblock my site from the firewall.. hmmmmmmmm..
2012.07.08 (21:26): Come ooooooooon Walking Dead!
I just entered the one in a billion chance to "stumble on" as a zombie role for Season 3. Let's cross some fingers and toes because that would be bad ass!
2012.07.06 (19:47): You know what?
Do you know what I enjoy? Pool time... with bats. That was bad ass. I think my skin got rabies or something though.. itchy.
Now sketching out the details on how to take a skateboard deck, rip off the varnish, paint it up, shellack it, and hang it in my cube at work. Yeah I am a planner bitches.

2012.07.04 (11:53): July 3rd - only two NDE with fireworks.
In a fit of typical behavior the pittance of sparklers, tanks, and blackcats did not appease the Peake so Bruce and him went off to get more. Thirty-five minutes later they show up with a $150 worth of stuff. All was going (more or less) well until the final two artillery shells. One made it about seven feet out of the tube and exploded. Verifying everyone was okay (and not burning from the explosion) the second one made it about a foot or two out of the tube and exploded. Once again narrowly missing everyone - even the kiddo.
*sigh*
*sigh*
2012.07.03 (00:30): Le sigh...
Well new bills being on an odd cycle will be interesting this month. Let's shoot for not going bankrupt keeping the ship afloat.. though I think Miss Gina might be that straw.. really? $45? Shit. Even without food that's still oddly high.
Oh well.. here's to currency and it's attempt at keeping a good man down.
PS: hopefully one of these days the work firewall will stop killing my site so I can do things like post my thoughts on the CEO proxy battle I am now a pawn in.
