Two minutes ago the fire alarms were going off.. with the automated message about 'staying our seats until it is verified'.

I wake up to a brief news burst regarding Hezzzbolah snatched up the grip of CIA assets and/or CIA officers. Granted it was on GMA, but did the next news have to be about crappy grammys? Okay.. CNN.. same thing. AFter sitting down and reading about what happened I threw up a bit in my mouth. For fucks sake it's been claimed that the Beirut station is out of commission!

I get the CIA's changed modes to a more Moussad hit-team, but really? Fucking pizza hut? The mission creep needs to be delegated. Have the bulk of the cia work back to intel gathering, but keep your scalpel squad.

This really makes the piss turn to ice when faced with how a state sponsored thug group can do serious harm to us because we've lost focus.

Hopefully we can recover the agents missing and get back on track!

I think I am sufficiently wound up enough to handle tomorrow. In an isolated (vacuum?) I am able to handle it.. but lord knows what will happen with my siblings or a very (four glasses of wine) Jonathan.

Tonight I met my first overt white supremacist. This is the second time meeting this couple, but the first understanding the guy was inked sleeve to waist in white supremacist tats. I thought his girlfriend was just part of the package, but no.... he informed me he was a SoCal felon that put in twelve to fifteen years for "the cause".... he was kicked out of 'Flashbacks' with this girl by four bouncers because of some "n-bomb bitch".

I was so side blinded by this statement it became hard to determine if I should throw up or shrug it off. I mean wow. that's some vitriol I wasn't expecting.

My cousin swung through last night with questions about missing outlook folders... aaaaaaaaand he brought two of his kids. Yup, they were blessed to see the hovel that Cousin J lived in. I threw them my tablet to distract them from the squalor, and peppered them with tales from the CEH, my robot, and my tablet. Damn cousin should have warned me and I could maybe have picked up the joint.

Grr...

Though the kids were sufficiently to highly impressed at the crap I do when I am not at work or in bar. Hmm. Good!

Well... after another gruelingly awesome day in CEH I am somewhat blind sided by the realization this was probably the last dinner Pops, Pete, and I will have at "our house" before, in a week and two days, it becomes dinner at "Connie and Pop's place". The philosophical closing of a chapter. We dined on chili, watched a few episodes of Big Bang Theory, and had our usual conversational routine including topics of work, my hacking class, and ruminations if my sister will continue her forced absence with her second kid as she has done with her first. Pops was canceling the phone and cable in preparations that by next Tuesday all hell will be unleashed for this wedding.

Off in the windy cold night I am certain the Doors are playing... "This is the end... my only friend the end...".

Now to fix my cousin's outlook issue and hit the 'Box for an exercise in libation consumption. Grocery shopping and the gym be damned tonight!

Dear god this class is amazing on so many levels.

First it appears I have a moderate-to-high skill base built up from junior high to current.
Second, even though it's only been two days my brain feels like it's been a week.
Third, tearing apart a windows box (and subsequently my neighbors) elicits a highly satisfying purr.
Fourth, trojans and back door remote access packages are freaking sweet.
Fifth, being the only senior dev in a room full of sys admins is amusing.
Sixth, social engineering is so old hat for me.
Seventh, wtf is up with this cacophony of tools? Is this really that easy to be naughty?
Eighth, this instructor his hilarious.
Ninth - I am so damn tired.. four nights of super late bar hoping has left me drained.

Now off to read about open GL for my super sweet Tron Legacy Map... I miss coding.
