At 11am today I started my paperwork.. and I am done at 11.45am. I am now a real employee. Well real and under a probationary period.

I wonder how long this will last?

I found out that on Friday one of my team members quit. No two weeks notice, just came in, sent out an email, and is gone. Damn. Bossman said he thinks it was because this guy was getting older, was single, no family or kids, and so work became his life to the point that if things changed or were not "how they should be" he would become deeply upset. Basically petrified in his world view and state of mind. Bossman made a small comment about "sort of like you, but older". Damn. I hope that never happens to me... but we all know the cirrhosis will get me first. That or a hail of bullets as I am saving the day per my Junior FBI duties.
