2008.08.29 (08:21): Wow....
There's something to be said for falling asleep at 8pm.. waking up every few hours with strange dreams.. tossing and turning.. then being fully awake at 6am... and at work a bit before seven that puts the day in a disjointed perspective.
The votes are still out if this is a good thing or bad... but I do get to leave early! woot!

2008.08.13 (15:00): for the lullz
Today's a good day... it's since.. sunny.. blue skies.. and not a hundred freaking degrees.
What also is better is over the weekend.. we did our install for the old system (A) I support, but is no longer my high priority.. only one member of my team supported it while the other three (me included) were siphoned off for this new project (B). the rollout went okay.. nothing majorly blowing up for so we thought. it turns out the outsourcing group we used... let's call them HEX as in hexadecimal because I'm a nerd like that.. HEX screwed over a bunch of reports, grid functionality, and semi largish holes in the two screens they redeveloped... so since late monday, all day tuesday, and this morning I was throw back off project B to shore up project A. It's nice to have a break and a breath of freshair from the stale ass project one has been working on.
lookie another report error! i best go investigate..

2008.08.09 (11:51): Ah.. another saturday...
... and another day logged in doing work.
On the bright side I patched another bug that was unreported.
On the down side I am still trying to figure out what's up with some piece of code I had to shoe horn in three months ago that someone else provided an okay desciption on what it does to help me figure out where to put it..
hmm..
I really should be out cleaning my car.. poor thing.

2008.08.06 (11:46): Wrong!
Wow.. two lies in less than five minutes from my boss's mouth. Three if you count the general lie of "i told you".
First lie... when she asks who told me to make this text field only accept numeric versus alpha numeric data I said "you". She starts blathering about "never, not me, why would I" and so forth. I countered with "Why would I have gone the extra step to make it validate as numeric only unless you told me". She then adamanetly swears I am telling un-truths.
Second lie... the claim that 'cancel' buttons are part of our standards for picklists.... but she believes that it also extends to this windows form - most definately NOT a picklist. WTF?! Then she asks when was the last time I read the standards. I copped that not in quite some time. Did I mention my boss has an issue where she'll call thing-X by thing-Y's name and expect you to know what she meant? Wow.. gotta love.
